MPC Key37 - Playing Keys with Multiple Drum Pads Simultaneously
Hey folks. I'm a bit of a beginner with my MPC Key37. What I really want to do is: play the keys and the pads on the MPC, as well as a separate drum pad, all at the same time. I've gotten pretty close; I can use the standalone pad all the time as well as the keys, no issue. However, when playing the keys, if I got outside a small range, it will automatically change the "pad bank" on the MPC pads (from "A") where it should be, to something else)so that they aren't usable. I can make them usable again by hitting a key within the range, or manually changing the pad bank back to A. Needless to say, this is less than ideal for live performances. Note that I've tried messing with the "Drum Split" feature, but that totally screws with the external pads. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the Drum Split? I really just want it so that playing keys outside of a small middle range, won't alter the selection of the MPC pad bank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
