“alla tiders”
In the 1960’s I recall my mother was fond of using “alla tiders” for utmärkt, and I see that SO lists this expression as något ålderdomligt, with the exanple “det vore alla tiders om vi kunde träffas snart!”. I’m curious how the expression came to be – its literal meaning seems to be something like “of all times”. Maybe the thinking behind it is “the best [ … ] of all time” ... would I be on the right track here?
