Hello!

I recently graduated with a LLB. I have applied to 3 master courses with SQE prep included. However, I’m looking into the option of independent study for the SQE. Meaning I would forgo doing a masters course altogether.

For those who did SQE prep independently, what was your experience? How did you revise and learn? What were your other responsibilities while doing SQE prep and did this affect the outcome?

For those who did SQE prep with a University Masters degree, do you believe the support offered justifies the cost of tuition? Do you think no difference would be made if you were to have done it alone? (I’m an international student, therefore tuition would come to 37k)

Further, what resources and materials were used? Is there a list of some sort? What website are used for the mock trials?

Please give me advice! On anything you believe would benefit me as someone who has never sat the SQE

During the end of July, one of my closest friends of two years their grandparent passed away. Once they told me I called, but they declined my call and I proceeded to ask if they were alright through text messages. To which we had a conversation. I called them again 2 days after, and gave them the whole “make sure you call me if you are ever feeling down”. During this period I wasn’t able to travel down as I have been hosting my parents at my place for 2 weeks. So I kept in touch through the phone.

They messaged me congratulations and I could only reply a day later saying thank you. I was really busy as it was my graduation.

When my parents were here for those two weeks I barely knew peace. I had been arguing with them multiple times and it lead to going days with no communication. This is to paint a picture of the mental state I was in for those two weeks they were here.

So on the last day of July I messaged her asking Heyyy, how are you and how are u doing. I receive no response. At the time I told myself I’ll give her a day.

My parents left the next day. And when I got back. Since I was so mentally exhausted and emotionally drained. I fell into a depressive state. For the following week I proceeded to stay in. I didn’t eat. I didn’t think. I only slept. Therefore, I not only did not message a soul for that entire week but I also failed to check in on her. I got out of my slumber. And then days pass and I still did not remember.

I completely forgot. But then I called her on the 12th to which I was declined. Fine. And then messaged. No reply till now.

AITA???????
