So I have a 2015 Cadillac CTS that is now having a problem with the sunroof shade.

The motor works, when I tuck the sun shade away it makes loud scraping noises that come from the side where there is a metal strip, and when it’s fully tucked away, the fabric wrinkles like it doesn’t want to go all the way in. it seems like that strip is supposed to be tucked somewhere along the track maybe?

Anyone know what this is, where it goes? and if it’s possible to do without taking off the headliner ?
