Warhammer40k TTRPG Cadian Guardsmen Lore Questions

I'm playing in a ttrpg 40k system and im playing a Cadian Guardsmen, Im more specialized for being a pilot in the game. I'm asking for lore about Cadian guardsmen and their outlook on life. History etc.

My main thing is what knowledge would an average Cadian have, this is shortly after the Fall of Cadia happens and this character was actually court marshalled and imprisoned off world for disobeying orders to retreat for ship repairs, instead bombing their target and then returning for repairs.

He was eventually sent to a hive world to clean up scum in the bottom layers and took as a chance to escape, eventually learning of Cadia.

The characters goal is too get revenge for Cadia, but also live an actual life outside of the system he once fought for and believed in, being disenchanted after his imprisonment, a war between his new found want to live a life and duty to serve. He now hates the system in place and thinks it's tarnishing the Emperor.

I think having meta knowledge is what's making playing this character harder. I'm not sure what they wouldn't and would not know lore wise, how Reverent they'd be too the Emperor and the world they are in etc. Im not even the most knowledgeable in Warhammer so that may also be something. I've read a few wiki entries to get an idea of Cadia and their history but that's about it.

No Gravity In a ship during jump space

I got this idea since one of my players rolled a ship that's too low power to have everything on at once. They would have to turn their M-Drives off too jump. Now from what I understand M-Drives along with being fuelsss rockets. Create the gravity on a ship.

During that week long travel in jump space they can't turn on their m drives again (I think) since it'll be used by the Jump Drives use for that week (unless it's only need one/twice to get into and out of jump space but not maintain it)

And that would mean they are in zero g conditions for that week. I mainly ask as a flavour thing not rules.

My hiver player completed five terms, and then they have a +2 RES, this would mean they have 7 rolls on the table correct? Since its two a term.

Also before the campaign begins i muster everyone out of their career correct?

I'm planning on hosting a traveler game. I was wondering if there are any good campaigns (or adventures, since those are different?) that would work well with any alien species.

Most of my players will probably pick humans, but some will pick Hivers, Droynes, etc. And even if technically any can be in any adventure, I'd prefer ones that would make sense since I'm a stickler for things like that. Especially before I go and buy them.

I'll be allowing any of the alien races stated in the 'Aliens of Charted Space 1-4' books, as I like the mix of major and minor races.

As a side question, the only real difference is that major races invented j-drives independently and are therefore more widespread across everywhere, while minor races received j-drives in some form and are more localized to their specific system or sector, correct? Like in terms of population and what not.

▲ 40 r/katana+1 crossposts

I have a katana that was gifted to me, I have had it for a few months and clean it roughly once a month,

Every since Ive had it, it has these weird blotches that stick out especially after cleaning it with the oil that it's had for ever, I thought at first it was some kind of marveling of the blade but I'm just making sure.

This katana came with a plastic wrap around the incredibly oily blade too btw which may be of worth mentioning.
