Deliveroo started malpractices in fee boost.
Is Deliveroo manipulating Fee Boosts between riders?
I'm confused and honestly quite annoyed by what happened today.
Earlier, my Deliveroo rider app showed a 1.4x Fee Boost in Chichester, so I decided to leave home and go online because the extra earnings made it worthwhile.
However, once the Fee Boost period started, I noticed that the actual boost being applied to my orders appeared to be only 1.2x.
What's even more confusing is that my home screen now shows 1.2x Fee Boost, but at the bottom of the same screen Deliveroo still displays information indicating that other riders in Chichester are being offered a 1.4x Fee Boost. I am physically present in the Chichester zone, so we're all operating in the same area.
How can riders in the same zone be shown different Fee Boosts? If this is intentional, where is the transparency? Riders make decisions about whether to go online, travel to a zone, or stay out working based on the boosts displayed in the app.
I'm genuinely interested to know whether anyone else has experienced this. Have you ever seen a lower Fee Boost on your account while the app indicates that other riders in the same area are receiving a higher one?
It feels unfair that riders can be working in the same zone at the same time but apparently be offered different incentives without any clear explanation when I was also promised a higher incentive an hour ago.
