I was walking past the freshmen housing on East for the first time in a long time and I noticed construction in front of Matheson next to sigma chi for housing. I didn’t realize gt was doing a new housing project for i scanned the QR code and it said it was privately owned?? has anyone heard anything about this? I’m from out of town and will be moving to chicago this summer for work. We’ll be in town this week to hopefully find a place and sign and lease and we are working with a broker. She prefers MLS, but being the anxious type A person I am, I can’t stop scavenging the third party sites and I’ve honestly found some places I’ve liked. I’ve sent them over to the broker and many times those places tell her that they won’t work with broker to the point that she’s told me to just coordinate any third party stuff on my own. Is this a red flag? I also feel bad for wasting to brokers time if I go with a place like this since they won’t get paid
