Tall guy looking for long joggers/sweatpants

Hey guys,

I’m pretty tall (1m90 / 6’3”) and I’m struggling to find long enough jogger pants/sweatpants.

I know a few good websites in the US and Europe, but shipping fees to Thailand are crazy expensive.

Does anyone know good brands, websites, or stores (Thailand or Asia preferably) that sell joggers for taller guys?

Looking for something comfortable with actually long legs/sleeves, not the usual “almost fits” situation 😅

Thanks!

Samui with family

Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning the beach part of a family trip to Koh Samui in January, and I found an Airbnb in the Lipa Noi area. I attached a map showing the approximate location.

We’ll be 5 adults and one 2-year-old child, so we won’t be using scooters. We’re looking for a quiet area, a clean and beautiful beach, and ideally not too many tourists or rows of sunbeds everywhere.

I’d love to get some local advice about this specific area:

Is the beach around here nice, clean, and calm in January?

Is it a good place to stay for 5 days with a toddler, or could it feel too isolated/boring without a scooter?

Would you say renting a car is necessary in this area, especially for restaurants, groceries, and exploring a little?

We don’t need nightlife or busy tourist areas. We mainly want a peaceful family stay, a nice beach, and enough convenience so we don’t feel stuck.

Any honest advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

Is Laem Sor Beach a good quiet family spot in January?

Hi everyone,

I live in Chiang Mai and my family will be visiting me in Thailand in January. I’m currently looking for a nice Airbnb for a few quiet beach nights.

I found a place directly on Laem Sor Beach, in the south of Koh Samui. The Airbnb itself looks great and almost all the reviews are excellent, but one review mentioned that the beach was dirty.

For those who know Laem Sor: how would you describe the beach? Is it generally clean and pleasant, or can it feel dirty/disappointing? Would you consider it beautiful, quiet, maybe even a little paradise-like — or more of a “nice view but not really a great beach” kind of place?

Also, would you recommend staying there for a few quiet nights with family, including a 2-year-old child? We probably won’t rent scooters, so I’m wondering if the area is too isolated without one.

Thanks a lot for your help.

L'homme a l'air sympathique...

Mais je me demande, y a-t-il vraiment des gens qui aiment et écoutent cet artiste ? Je trouve ça vraiment inaudible et j'ai du mal à comprendre la typologie de personnes qui écoutent ça.

Hey everyone 👋

I was curious, what are your personal hidden gems or go-to spots in Chiang Mai?

For example, where do you find the best meat? Or any places you keep going back to because the quality is just better than elsewhere?

Could be anything, food, services, shops, markets…

Always interested in discovering the spots locals and expats actually rate, not just the usual recommendations.

Thanks in advance!
