UOW Vs Monash Vs Nottingham
I am an International student and I finished my 2 year diploma in Mass Communication from Taylor's. My plans 2 years ago were to transfer to the US. But due to current conditions I cancelled my offer letter from California State University Fullerton.
I was extremely confused but I made the decision thinking about everything. My interest was to switch to the Game Development program which would have been 4 years. So 2 years Diploma meant nothing and no transfer. I thought about it and asked myself if I could survive 4 years. The gaming industry looks for a portfolio instead of a 4 years degree. I did check the drop out rate is extremely high and return on investment on an expensive course was less.
Now I plan on continuing the remaining two years in Malaysia for Digital Media. But I don't want to study again in Taylor's. Taylor's has been an extremely good experience for me. Helpful lecturers,nice campus and students life was great.Made some real friends and some fake friends. I had some drama in my 2nd last semester but it's all good. Life's not only about perfection but mixture of everything made me experience more and be a better leader. I learnt to deal with a lot of things and I appreciate that. But I want a change in the environment now. I want to challenge myself to be more vulnerable. I loved how I settled and got comfortable. I want to experience that uncomfortable situation all over again since I want to learn and deal with more things in my life.
I chose 3 options Monash, Wollongong and Nottingham.
I checked my options for Digital Media and I liked the course. But that interest in Game Development still is in my head. I check Monash doesn't have any minors in Fine Arts and Game Development in Malaysia branch or else it would have been my no.1 choice.
Nottingham is so far from KL and that makes me not want to choose Nottingham.
UOW has the course I want and the minors that I need. So in my head I am very confused about what I should pick.
It would be extremely helpful if anyone could help me with some suggestions. I was a drop out for 5 years and recently found interest in education. I don't want to waste time anymore. I want to finish what I started and not quit. Any advice would be appreciated.
