Scripture Life: Why would God predestine anybody to damnation, like what is seemingly implied in Romans Chapter 9? Isn't that the mark of an evil god?
Answer:
I think the poser of this question doesn’t understand some things. Then, relies completely on some beliefs that are found solely in Calvinism. And John Calvin, he’s the author or authority of Calvinism. Calvin, and his imaginative beliefs, are in his (1536AD) book: "The Institutes of the Christian Religion" - then, it's really just a man. John Calvin, and as a man, he claim his observations are the very institutes of the Christian religion - is just great, swelling words - and he’s not even mentioned in the question.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
The challenge is:
- It’s “subtle.” Like a deception. 1. not immediately obvious or comprehensible [Source: Collins. Web.]. Means you just could accept it as true, and not really realize or comprehend it’s a deception. Has a lie in it.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
So, let’s take your question and break it down in to THREE smaller parts:
- ONE
- Why would God predestine anybody to damnation
- Answer: Change the question. Ask: Why would my Biology teacher predestine anybody to failing Biology in Junior High School?
- When he doesn’t. Anybody - whosoever it was in my Junior High School, and EVERYBODY had to take Biology sometime during the year; just they had a “choice” what “period” - either 1st period thru 5th period, and what semester they wanted to take it. Whosoever came to the Biology class, got in.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- a) Those that “hearkened diligently” unto the Biology Teacher - that is, they, as a “disciple of the Biology teacher,” or just a student or pupil that sits under a teacher - they paid careful attention to the teacher. When assigned daily eading, or to do an essay, or encouraged to participate in discussions in class? Yeah.
- They read the texts.
- Participated in class discussions.
- They completed the essays decreed by their teacher in Biology to be done.
- Turned in projects the Biology teacher decreed be done, by the deadline.
- Each and every student or pupil of this Biology subject: had FULL ACCESS to the Biology Teacher.
- Everyday.
- He was there to help them all PASS Biology. Was with them, and by the Biology teacher, learned Biology. He was Not willing any fail, but all learn Biology. Got an “A” or B+ in class. PASSED.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- b) Those that “lowly esteem” or dismissed the Biology Teacher - Daydreaming about girls and who wore the shortest skirt, and how much could you see, if you kept looking or off day dreaming about baseball.
- The game after school.
- Never even opened the Biology text book.
- That is, Biology, there wasn’t any profit to take a yoke upon themself to learn it, so even though they showed up, they were never a “disciple of the Biology teacher.”
- Didn’t even know him. Sat in class, but not under any biology teacher.
- They never read the texts.
- Never participated in any class discussions.
- They never completed any essay, or if they did, it was so poor, they got an “F” on the work.
- Didn’t do anything the Biology teacher decreed be done.
- Even though everybody around them was busily working on their Biology project. No fruit. Never started. Didn’t turn anything in.
- Even they also had FULL ACCESS everyday to the Biology Teacher.
- Everyday.
- He was there to help them PASS Biology, they dismissed him as feckled toilet paper wadded up on the floor in the bathroom. Even the Biology teacher was not willing any fail, but all learn Biology. This student never learned Biology. Got an “F” in class. FAILED. * damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- The Biology teacher was not pleased; rather saw the whole thing from DAY ONE.
- His efforts frustrated or thwarted by the student in “b)” but
- He was filled with joy at the students in “a)” that just did what he says.
At no time did the Biology teacher - before the class or anyone even sign up: “PREDESTINE” or “PREDETERMINE” specific students before the school year even started: mark them. That they specifically would FAIL Biology.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- BUT! - - someone believe this!
- Say the Biology Teacher is “Sovereign” over the Biology subject and the class.
- Claim out: Because of the Biology teacher, is Lord over the Biology class, the student in “b)” before they even signed up.
- The Biology Teacher predestined before the school year began: that “b)” student to receive a failing grade.
That's Calvin and his explanation of PREDESTINATION in Book III, Chapter XXI, of "Institutes of the Christian Religion" - Told you. Great swelling words. Like clouds with no rain in it. Bible warns believers to stay clear of people like this. They are "spots" "blemishes." To mark them and avoid them. Boy, does that ever work.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
Now, it’s subtle.
- But with the following, I want you to, compare the above, with what God says in the following:
- #1 - 2 Peter 3:9 says, that GOD: “..is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
- That’s everybody. Over the whole earth. That he formed each of us; alone, by himself. From our mother’s womb. (Isaiah 44:24)
- #2 - Isaiah 45:22 says, because it's this same God not willing any perish, but all come to repentance, like the Biology teacher is not willing any student in the whole school, not one fail Biology - but all learn it rightly…..want’s every student in Biology to look unto him. Just like God says:
- “Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is none else.” - God.
- #1 - 2 Peter 3:9 says, that GOD: “..is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- It’s people then.
- In a) Just look unto him.
- And all look unto is, someone would have to carefully consider who he is first. To open up the Bible. Like what a) above in Biology did. They just opened up the Biology book and who they sat with, taught them Biology. The Biology teacher.
- Is just like a) here: is a disciple of Jesus Christ.
- Sits with and is taught by Jesus Christ as a pupil and a student - and God reserves an exclusive right to himself to do this with each and every person over the whole earth.
- And “a)” hearkens, that is, pays careful attention to Jesus daily. He is with them and they hear his voice. Just like “a)” above heard the Biology teacher, and learned from him. No different.
- In a) Just look unto him.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- But just like b) any person, over the whole earth, doesn’t matter who it is, just like with the Biology teacher, wants everybody to learn Biology.
- It’s a decree every student is to learn it.
- Just like God decreed everybody over the whole earth look unto him.
- The girls in the high school, wearing short dresses, drown all he says right clean out. Like “b)” above, hearing..they don’t hear anything the Biology teacher says.
- Because they don’t sit with and are not being taught Biology, off daydreaming the whole class about baseball.
- They are far from the class.
- Just like people. Don’t do anything God says.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- And those in “a)” did what God said. He's pleased with them. He wanted everybody to do that.
- But those in “b)” didn’t do anything God said. He is - just like the Biology teacher gave those didn’t do anything he said, gave them an “F” * Has: damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
God didn’t “PREDESTINE” and create anybody to hate him. He created, even prayed for it, that they might know him. And people that hearken unto him, whosoever it be, like just anybody show up to the Biology class, sits and is taught Biology.
But people that, once in class, are never there - don’t “partake” of Biology… …just like people here on this earth, when he say “For all the earth is mine” - God. (Exodus 19:5) you are on his earth. It’s his.
Don’t do anything he says, has a result: Has: damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
So Calvin claiming the Biology teacher PREDESTINED some students - when all can come, some to PASS while specifically, before the school year even started - before specific students: before they even signed up - predetermined he’d make others fail.
- That’s an awfully evil Biology Teacher.
Does not have any good in him. So, any claim, even Calvin make this about the Biology teacher, when it’s not true - makes Calvin a blaspheming liar. Because he claims this about God.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- But what was PREDETERMINED before the class ever started was - whosoever partakes of Biology, and participates in class, and sits with an learns Biology - they PASS.
- And the school and the Biology teacher are one. And champion this out. It’s the goal that every student in Junior High or High School learn Biology.
- Just like God decreed every person would live by every word proceeds out of his mouth (Matthew 4:4)
- What is PREDETERMINED before the world began, those that don’t, has this result: damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure.
- By God himself.
- What is PREDETERMINED before the world began, those that don’t, has this result: damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure.
- TWO:
- And: This is what is seemingly implied in Romans Chapter 9.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
And: THREE:
- It’s the Mark of a Good God, because, as the Bible says: Don’t forget this part:
“There is not a just man on earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not” - Bible. Ecclesiastes 7:20.
“filthy; done abominable works.. none good; no, not one. Live as if there is no God.” - Bible. Psalm 14:1–3
Says this about EVERYBODY. Including Adam - and everybody forward - everybody over the whole earth is from him.
- That INCLUDES John Calvin. And all his warped, piled up observations that don’t have any God in it.
- Because what he claims is God.. ..isn't.
- Just shows he does not know him. So you would see it.
- To claim these things out about him. Like claim falsely the Biology teacher selected, even before the school year started to destine specifically - specific students to fail biology vs. teach every body over the whole school, whosoever would come to his class, just teach them Biology. As the Biology Teacher.
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- **But there’s hope. Jesus said: “**There is NONE good, but one, that is, God” (Matthew 19:17).
- Your question subtly leads people to make people GOOD without God be good. Is the work of someone that does not know him. He’s Good. There’s just one good. There is none else.
- None else to look unto: Just like with the Biology teacher. In Biology. There is none else. But people - students, find themselves in the Biology teacher's class: daydream out the window.
- So, ask the question: Who gets the damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure? In your question?
- ANSWER: Yeah. God.
- It’s subtle. But that's what’s wrong with Calvin. And that’s what’s wrong with your question.
- So, ask the question: Who gets the damn. 1. an exclamation of frustration that criticizes 2. an expression of displeasure? In your question?
------------------ --------------------- ---------------------- --------------------
- Jesus prayed for you. That you might know him, and you can know God, by the word of God.
- What he says out of his mouth vs. what comes out of the mouth - great swelling words, that came out of Calvin.
- He’s dead.
- He’s not coming back.
- His observations died with him. But God - he speaks and his word is life giving.
- What he says out of his mouth vs. what comes out of the mouth - great swelling words, that came out of Calvin.
