Shady behaviour by seller u/OkChain2088
So u/OkChain2088 recently put up posts on all the reselling subs containing several high value items of which the Augustinus Bader creams caught my eye.
The selling price quoted is significantly lower than the brand price and this is a premium luxe brand that does not match up with this sellers previous buying/selling history (mostly low range to mid range products).
I know that some people were able to get these Augustinus Bader creams for rock bottom prices during a glitch sale and I was hoping that they would turn up on these subs at a reasonable price. This seller's price seemed reasonable to me for a glitch product and so I enquired, specifically starting my enquiry via a comment on their post asking if they have receipts. They said yes.
After moving to their DM's and asking for a logical chain that led to their pricing, they refused to provide me with an actual receipt and instead just showed tracking and delivery info for one of the products. Now this is something that could very easily be created using AI using a real tracking number.
I, yet again, asked if they had some actual proof to explain the pricing and they responded with deleting the very suspect screenshots sent to me and saying "nevermind" and questioning why they need to show what they paid.
I mean, if they aren't being shady then what exactly are they trying to hide over here?
I myself have sold products on this platform for much cheaper prices than their usual lowest priced amounts. And I had sufficient proof to back up my low selling price (I bought the products in a different country where the prices were much lower and so I was selling for cheap). That is how I assume someone who is ethical would conduct themselves in an interaction when asked for some sort of logic to the pricing. I even explained that I would like to know if it was a glitch priced product so at least that could prove the authenticity of the products and intent behind the pricing (maybe they got it for dirt cheap and are looking to sell at a profit which is absolutely fine by me as long as the product is authentic). And despite that, they still responded the way that they did which makes me strongly question whether they are at all genuine products being sold by a genuine person.
Attached are screenshots of everything. I also managed to retain a screenshot of one of the two images that they sent me before they deleted it not soon after for who knows what reason (if this isn't a scam and the image isn't fake).
It doesn't add up.
