So the situation is this:

The seller made a post for the Smashbox tint at ₹400 + shipping (around ₹70–75). I texted her, booked the product, and completed the payment. You can verify this in the chat screenshots.

This conversation happened on 19th, and the delivery date was supposed to be the 21st, so there were only around 2 days left for dispatch.

The next morning, the seller texted me asking me to share my QR code so she could refund my money. I had just woken up at that time. I replied that I could share my QR, but she could keep ₹100 as a booking amount. However, before proceeding further, I opened Reddit and saw a post against her.

After reading that post, I immediately deleted the QR code because it became clear that she was simultaneously talking to multiple buyers and was willing to sell the product to whoever paid more, while refunding the original buyer. I confronted her regarding this.

After that, she explained that she “didn’t want to hold my amount,” and that another buyer was insisting, so she quoted them a higher price. At that point, I genuinely believed this might have been her first mistake.

She then requested me to help save her reputation because a post had already been made against her. She asked me to comment in her support. I advised her to simply admit that she made a mistake and stay committed to the original buyer. She later made a public post stating that she would stick to her word and sell the product to her buyer. That buyer was me, and she had already committed this in our chats as well.

However, over the last two days, she repeatedly kept indirectly mentioning her “loss” and making me feel guilty about the pricing situation.

Then again today morning, she messaged me asking for an additional ₹50, saying it was “unfair to the other buyer.” This led to another argument, and she even mentioned involving the moderators. Before things escalated, I clearly told her that I was willing to pay the extra ₹50 just to avoid unnecessary drama, and I even asked her to share her QR code. Later, when she again brought up involving mods, I deleted the ₹50 message and QR discussion because the matter was becoming unnecessarily complicated.

At that point, I honestly did not even want the tint anymore because of her behavior, but I still tried to proceed maturely. I even said I would ask the moderators for clarity.

A few hours later, she suddenly texted saying that the product had been delivered and asked me to arrange pickup/shipping. I requested a simple product picture before proceeding, which is completely normal and a buyer’s right. However, she refused to provide any picture and said she would directly pack the product. She then told me that if I was uncomfortable, I could cancel the order, otherwise proceed.

This entire behavior felt extremely unprofessional and almost as if she was indirectly trying to make me cancel the order myself.

Another important point: in the same Reddit post where she claimed this was her “first mistake,” people commented that this was not her first split/order situation and that she had successfully completed similar deals before. So this was clearly not an entirely new situation for her.

In the end, after all the confusion, arguments, repeated price discussions, and pressure, I finally asked for a refund. The moment I said that, she refunded the amount within seconds.

Apart from me, there were around 5–6 other buyers involved, and at least one more person was also asked to pay extra. This genuinely felt like an auction system — whoever paid more would get the product, while the original booked buyer would simply be refunded.

I’ve shared all the details with the mods, including the screen recording from Reddit to WhatsApp, from start to end.

And appropriate action has been taken against this seller.

I want to report and need help in this matter because my patience is honestly on the verge of ending after endless tries.

This user (screenshot attached) booked a Lys Gloss in a lip kit, and from the past 3 days I have been continuously asking/reminding for the payment, but there has been no response from her side.

Now today, I got to know from someone that she might be blocked or something similar from Reddit (not 100% sure about this).

But the only thing I want to ask such people is —

1. Will you come to help me when I get short on money?

2. Will you come when I have to face declutter losses and posting issues?

3. Are you ready for the legal procedure for the damage and harassment caused to me?

4. Are you willing to reply to other bookers and explain why the set got cancelled just because of you?

And if the answer is “I forgot that I booked something,” then honestly, I’m not sure I can believe such excuses anymore.

So guys, I’m making this post from both a buyer’s and seller’s perspective because I feel respectful communication matters on both sides.

A person texted me yesterday regarding a product. They quoted their price, and I simply shared my expected price as a seller. I never mentioned that the price was non-negotiable — negotiations are completely normal, and I’m always open to reasonable conversations.

What disappointed me was not the negotiation itself, but the tone and behaviour during the conversation afterward. As a seller, I would never speak to a buyer in that manner, and as a buyer myself, I would also never treat a seller disrespectfully over pricing. If a product doesn’t fit someone’s budget, it’s completely okay to politely pass or move on. Not every deal has to work out, and that’s fine.

I also want to mention that the language and attitude shown towards me could easily have been matched from my side too, but I consciously chose to remain respectful and not turn the conversation into negativity. I believe conversations can be handled maturely even during disagreements.

Another thing sellers often face is buyers finalising prices, asking for multiple pictures or details, and then disappearing without any response. A simple “I’ll pass” is honestly enough and appreciated.

The reason I’m making this post is not to create drama, but to remind people that basic courtesy should exist on both sides of buying and selling. Healthy negotiations are normal, but disrespect, unnecessary accusations, or rude behaviour are not.

What genuinely upset me was being indirectly made to feel like I was scamming, when I’ve always tried to maintain transparency with my buyers by sharing proofs, pictures, batch codes, and every detail whenever asked.

That’s all I wanted to say — let’s normalise respectful communication in this community, whether you’re a buyer or a seller.

And if anyone is reselling — I repeat, anyone please don’t bully or shame them for it. Reselling is allowed here, as clearly mentioned in slide 2.
