So due to multiple surgeries and extreme pain I had to leave University. I went back in order to finish a degree even if it meant it wasnt my original degree. Instead of a Bachelors in Science with specialization in Biology with a minor in psychology I left with ***Bachelor in Science with a minor in Biology***. I had already finished my minor in psychology; however, because I already claimed my minor as Biology Im not able to claim a double minor. But technically I do have all the prerequisites for the minor in psychology just couldn’t officially claim it anymore.

Ive been stuck for the past 10 years in pain (because surgeries went wrong) without being able to advance or even have a job in the field I studied. I don’t even know if there is anything I can do with this degree.

I will be going in for another surgery to correct the last one and I am hopeful that this will be it and will go well. I think that after this surgery I’ll be able to get back into society and contribute; however, I don’t know where to start. I’ve thought about going back to school but at this age I don’t know what I would go into or if I want to. Does anyone know what I can do with the degree I already have? What can I apply to? Im in Canada if that makes a difference. Any ideas at all would be so helpful. TIA.

NSLSC- RAP disability

So Ive been disabled for a while now since about a year before finishing school. My question is when doing the 6 month RAP forms how do I proceed if I intend to go back to school at some point. My doctor filled out my rap- disability forms however in the section where is asks how long will this disability last there is a box for less than 12 months, more than 12 months or permanent for the rest of their lives. If my doctor were to check off permanent disability for the rest of thwir lives would that completely get the government to pay my loan but would also never allow me to recieve osap in the future for when I would like to go back? And if the more than 12 months is checked off would that mean that I would be able to get Osap in the future? I really dont want to make a mistake. Ive been out of school for over a decade however this is due to surgeons overcorrections. I will be having another surgery with a different surgeon and if all goes well get my life back and continue on with school as id like to change careers, not that I even got to start in my field. This is extremely important not to mess up and Im only worried as my doctor just tends to always check off forever on things as its been a while with these issues however its due to surgeons mistakes. I know that if i specifically mention it to her she will check off the other as it would technically be correct because there is no way of knowing the future. Please let me know what either box would do as far as me being able to apply for osap in the future. TIA
