Why doesn’t my HTML background work?

background-image: url('background.jpeg');
background-size: auto;

The image is “background.jpeg”. It has the correct spelling, the image is within the same folder. IT used to work but then it suddenly stopped working and i havent even edited the CSS for it to stop working.

Update: i couldnt figure it out for the life of me and no suggestions worked, but on the good side, instead of putting it on CSS, i put it on HTML, then it worked.

At what point r mood swings concerning?

is it teenager hormones or is it mental illness

The 3 moods i notice usually change weekly to a few days
1week and im super happy, i dance around, sing, talk. One time i laughed for 40 mins straight. This is my favourite time and i wish it was just this
The next week, i think uncontrollable extremely negative or violent thoughts about my friends and family,
Another week, i just feel empty, numb, guilty and maybe anxious. Like depression without being exactly sad.

Its the same with people, 1 moment i love them and im clingy, the next i hate them and i want them to leave me alone.

Misc info: hypersexual, impulsive spender, SH survivor and i zone out a lot
