Looking for placement advice

So this is the finished den/family room type space on the lower level of my new house. I'm trying to decide where to put the TV and looking for some insight... (not above the fireplace)

Assuming I mount the TV (at a proper height) on the brick wall next to the fireplace, do you think it would be too close to the fireplace and at risk of damage? It is a wood fireplace that has the 4 vents on each corner.

My other thing I'm considering is building a dividing wall down from the ceiling beam and mounting the TV on that wall, I'm a little concerned about exactly how that would all play out in the space, but it's the only other option I have based on placement of doors in and out of the room, a mechanical room door that can't be blocked, and a wall with too many windows to mount to. Aside from the layout we'd also really like to be able to see the TV without having our back turned to the fire.

Appreciate the advice ahead of time and hopefully avoiding being posted on here once the TV is placed 😂

Tv placement near fireplace

Hello all, was hoping to get some ideas/insight into some mounting options in this space. This is in a finished den/basement space in a new home we moved in to. I'm having some issues with room layout due to placement of doors, exterior patio/sliding door, a mechanical room, and windows, so I've decided my best option is somewhere in this corner...

I've narrowed down to two options I'm considering, one would be to mount on the brick wall portion to the left of the fireplace, I have easy access here and know there's no flue, wires, water etc. Behind it, but I am concerned about the proximity to the wood fireplace and the vents.

Option 2 I'm considering, which would be quite a bit more work and break up the room a bit, is to build a 5-6ish foot wide wall coming down from the ceiling beam and mounting the TV to said wall. I'm also concerned about matching the existing paneling/paint color in the room.

Would appreciate any insight people would have, ideally we would create a little den space down here where you can sit and see the TV without having to have your back to the fireplace, but the room is quite challenging! Thanks in advance!
