MHJ owners are we selling our holding into year 3?

As a fellow investor, I find myself stuck. It's difficult to let go, especially before year 3 when a breakout could happen. Most likely, this new offensive staff is going to try very hard to make MHJ successful. At least early on.

But on the field he hasn't popped. Is it just me, or does he look slow?

If you could trade him for a volatile yet higher ranked guy next year - like Rashee Rice, would you pivot?

How to handle Troy Franklin

If you're a Troy Franklin owner, how are you playing this hand?

For the most part, the situation doesn't look good. But then again, I'm continually proven wrong with my perceptions in fantasy football. Perhaps if Cortland Sutton hits that cliff, and somehow this ends up as a benefit to Franklin (doubt it, Bryant would most likely benefit). Alternatively, if Waddle can't stay on the field (not a stretch), Troy could more logically benefit.

The Broncos skill position group feels like a week to week gamble outside of Waddle.

Franklin feels like such a roster clogger. Yet kinda hard to drop and even harder to trade. How are you playing this? Pulling the trigger and dropping after Rookie drafts or just holding your nose and accepting the situation.

This is how I'm trying to read and interpret the tea leaves. How are other's projecting Charbs?

  • Will come back late this season and probably ease into the playoff run
  • Is an unrestricted free agent next year
  • Just witnessed the team draft a 1st Rd running back
  • Was really pretty damn good in his first three years. He held his own more than admirably with Walker (a more explosive and higher invested back). To my eyes, the coaching staff seemed to trust Charbs more
  • He has workhorse size 6'1" and 220lbs. He can move the pile.
  • He doesn't have that top end speed, he clocked a 4.53 40. But in my book, that's fast enough at this position.
  • He's 25.3 months old.

I think if he gets out of Seattle next offseason, he will land a very nice contract as the RB1 somewhere. With his age, he's got 2-3 very good fantasy years left in him. The concern is that he signs an extension with the Seahawks and is slated for a 50/50 time split with Price.

But I'm buying. I'll roll the dice he doesn't sign with Seattle. Even though I think Seattle probably wants to keep him. From Charb's POV, a bigger contract and opportunity awaits in free agency. With the hype on Price, the injury, the partial year of play ahead - I see it all as one hell of a buy low opp.
