My 28M girlfriend 24F accepted a random guy’s phone number at a cafè
So my girlfriend returns home a bit later than what she told me, and she made a stop at a cafè to grab a coffee. I jokingly asked her “what did you flirt with the barista for too long?” She said “what? How did you know?” (Jokingly). Then turns out something close happened. A guy she was waiting in line with spoke to her, they had a chat and he ended up giving her his number and she accepted it. I asked why would you accept his phone number? She said it was for “networking. He’s opening a new restaurant nearby and and is looking for new clients.” We had an argument about it. She ended up promising that she wont do it again. But, it still doesn’t sit right with me, because have I not made a joke i would have never found out, and it crosses a line for me. She didn’t think how it would make me feel before doing it, and I dont think that she’s naive enough to think that a guy giving her his number is purely platonic, or he’s looking for clients. How would you feel about it?
