This examines whether or not FX Fighter Kurumi Chan can appropriately write about the serious themes it presents. The show explores Foreign Currency Trading and themes of suicide and gambling addiction, but has a cute girl, moe aesthetic. These two ideas are clashing, but that doesn't inherently mean it can't work with good writing.

I take a look at the 3 main pairs in Polar Opposites, starting with Suzuki and Tani, then to Azuma and Taira, before finishing with Nishi and Yamada (my personal favorite). I focus on how the show creates moments of tension that never feel too big, which I think is a vastly underrated aspect of the show. Please read and let me know what you think!

Hey all, I wrote an essay about where The Ribbon Hero went wrong and how it could've been better. I was very excited to watch this movie, but like many others was disappointed. However, this isn't because the movie needed more runtime - it failed because it didn't utilize what it had already set up properly.
