We are on contract until 7/13/26 with a 6 month tail, trying to part ways with our realtor but she won’t send a mutual release agreement to us. We originally put an offer on another house but decided against it. She texted me and said you are good to go with someone else, I am planning on buying the house I’ve been renting from my landlord for years. She did comps on the house and wrote up an offer but had the price of the house wrong, and a 6% commission rate so we want to part ways with her. I just want to protect ourselves so we can’t be sued later on, advice? We live in Michigan.
