I wear a 30 waist in pants.

Current leather belt I primarily wear is a size 32.

Bought a new belt last night, different brand. Tried on a 34, and it fit exactly like my current 32. Belt was exact same length, holes in exact same spots, and I wore it on the same hole (#4 out of 5 with 5 being the tightest).

I tried on the 32, and obviously it was shorter than my current 32. I had to wear that one on hole #2 out of 5 with 1 being the loosest. I didn't like the way that looked.

Now I'm realizing belts stretch. Should I have gotten the 32? With some stretch on the 32 maybe I would eventually be able to use the middle hole?

New belt, different brand from my current one, fits like my current one when I get it a size bigger. Is that because my old one stretched? I ended up buying a 34 instead of a 32...pants waist size 30...because the 34 was exactly the same as my current 32...same overall length, same hole positions, and I used the same hole.
