I’m just looking for some opinions. I’m planning to see an orthodontist next month, but since I’ve seen many people here going through similar journeys, I wanted to share my photos and ask for your thoughts.
To give some background: I finished camouflage treatment about a year ago and moved into the retention phase. However, I’m not satisfied with the results and am now considering jaw surgery. I’m looking for a significant change in both my front and side profiles. One thing that bothers me is that I look about 7 years younger than my actual age, and I believe my recessed jaw is a major reason for that. Beyond aesthetics, I’m experiencing more functional issues now than before, likely due to the camouflage treatment. My ultimate goal is to achieve more mature, defined facial features and resolve these functional problems. I know surgery isn't a 'magic wand' that fixes everything, but I believe it could help with these specific concerns.
I know it’s very difficult to tell just from a photo, but I’d love to get an idea: how many millimeters of advancement do you think I might need? Do you think CCW rotation, genioplasty, or maxillary expansion (SARPE/MSE) would be necessary in my case? I'd appreciate any insights you might have.
