We’re about four weeks into our 12-week-old daughter’s treatment with a Pavlik harness and at our check in appt yesterday, we mentioned that she still has a “lean” at her waist when she’s out of the harness. The nurse asked the doctor to take a look and the doctor did a check of her hips using pressure and turning them to see if they were stable and in socket. What was weird was when the dr was doing this check, she said to the nurse she was “doing what she wasn’t supposed to.” Are those types of hip checks using pressure ok during Pavlik treatment? I’m pretty worried about anything getting in the way of effective treatment since the only other alternative seems to be surgery. Would love to hear any info you have or have heard!
