I just got a pair of Earhive Pro3 V6 TB clones and they are great overall, but I’m having an issue with them on my MacBook.
They don’t show up as proper AirPods in macOS like some of my other clones have. Instead, they only appear as a generic Bluetooth headset.
The main issue is the volume. On my MacBook, the volume is basically at 100% all the time. Muting works, but any other volume level is extremely loud. The swipe gesture also doesn’t turn the volume down. It makes the little noise like it detects the swipe, but the actual volume doesn’t change.
The weird part is that the volume swipe works properly when they’re connected to my phone (Samsung Galaxy Flip 7), so the gesture itself seems to be working.
Has anyone had this issue with Pro3 V6 TBs on macOS? Is there any fix, reset method, firmware update, or workaround to make them show up properly as AirPods instead of a generic headset?
Any help would be appreciated.
