I have an overwhelming urge to dote on and support a partner in a completely platonic marriage where any actual romance involved would be both nauseating and unnecessary. does this make sense in an aromantic way?
We’re both aromantic, and he’s mentioned wanting to marry a friend once or twice. I’ve taken on the role of his cheerleader so naturally, and have this unexplainable urge to care for him / support him, and this is coming from a guy who is terrified of marriage as a concept. I’ve been trying to talk myself out of it for months, but it isn’t working.
Has anyone experienced this before? and would it be acceptable to bring it up to him?
