Pouf with T-shirt Yarn

Made this from t-shirt yarn and single crochet stitches! It's stuffed with scrap and used up at least 15lbs of textile waste.

yarn bowls are pointless!!

You know the ones. Those +30$ fancy wooden yarn bowls with the swoop where your yarn is supposed to go. Who are these meant for?

You can just... put your yarn in any bowl. My yarn bowl is a soup bowl I broke, superglued back together, and then couldn't eat soup from anymore. It doesn't have a swoosh because it doesn't need one. Your yarn won't fly away without the swoosh. Frankly, the swoosh will probably get caught and pull your yarn bowl off the table.

Also-- the fancy yarn bowls aren't accomodating to anything other than a perfect sphere. Cotton thread on a spool? Nope. A really big ball of yarn? Nope. You know what does work for those? My soup bowl.

Get a cheap bowl from your kitchen or goodwill. Decorate it if you want a fancy one. Enjoy your money and your more effective product. Newbies especially, remember that you do not need to buy every fancy tool.

Sincerely, a stingy crafter.

P.S peace and love to personal choices!!! this is speaking generally.

Need custom figurines, trading crochet or knit objects

Hi! I want to make/obtain a Pokémon themed chess set for my 22yr old brother's birthday. I need someone to help make the pieces for it.

I want to either have complex 3d printed and painted pieces, or more minimalist wood carved ones. Still figuring out design, and would love to work with someone (and their skill set) to design it.

In return, I can make pretty much anything with yarn. Some options would be a tapestry in a pixel grid, sweater, flower bouquet, etc. If there is anything in specific I'm happy to figure it out.

My brother is a stickler for quality so I want something that will last a long time and look amazing. Willing to trade high effort for high effort. :)
