My manager is extremely micromanaging and the whole station is tired of it. He’s constantly on everybody about “gap time,” but whenever I ask what the actual expectation is, he beats around the bush. He finally admitted that after 7 minutes it gets flagged.

I work in a busy major city with traffic, school buses, construction, elevators, heavy packages, impossible parking, and customers stopping us constantly. None of that seems to get taken into consideration. Meanwhile, management acts like every stop should go perfectly with zero delays.

Anybody else dealing with this? And does anybody know any tricks for handling “gap time” without running yourself into the ground?
