Hi,
Yesterday when I turned the key to start the car, I noticed a strange sound coming from the key barrel.

It seems to be broken, I have to play around with the key angle to have at the same time the engine running and current to other electrical components (headlights, AC, ...) but it's working. I also have to almost force to a certain angle to take out the key.

The issue is that even when the key is removed, I still have the "Remove key" message on the dash - I guess because the angle needed to take out the key leaves the barrel in semi-contact mode.

Is there a way to repair the barrel I have, or is it dead and needs replacement ?
If I have to replace, does it mean I have to change the physical key also or is there a way to keep it ?

TD;LR : 996.2 lock barrel broke, reparable or replacement ? Possible to keep my keys if barrel replaced or means replacement of both barrel and keys ?

I have a 2002 996.2 with the CDR22 autoradio, and I will install a Blaupunkt Bremen I already have on hand

Does it need a specific adapter ?
I’ve read at some place that you need a specific fiber optic adapter; and at other that it’s not needed

It seems that I have the Bose amplifier, as there is this big sound card in the frunk

Can someone tell me what connector I need for this setup ?
Thanks !
