Approved for AmEx Gold Card

Not a big deal, I realize that lots of people get accepted just to drain the annual fees. But it was great fun for me to get accepted because I got declined for Gold last Juillet and for Green this March. Too expensive for me, the rewards don't fit m'/ spending, but when I got an email on Thurs with a direct offer I decided to complete an app and make sure it was real. Almost accepted it too, but I'm in budget territoire now--even budget travel and restaurants. We'll see in two or three solar revolutions if it makes more sense.

Next apps for me are calculated to be Citi Double Cash in June, Chase Freedom Unlimited in August, and Wells Fargo Active Cash in Jan or Feb. Scores are 708/712 or thereabouts, Discover is best card in hand, oldest account is 16 months old.

Chase 5/24 applies to Affirm accounts? I hope not.

I've waited for months to request the Chase Freedom Unlimited card in June. I had a paid and closed Affirm account, and another one with $46 left to go through August. Hate to even imagine this...would those two accounts, added to three credit cards I've gotten since Jan. 2025, make me ineligible for a Chase FU card? It otherwise fits me financial situation quite well.
