hello, I recently adopted 8 female mice who are all related (A mother, an aunt, and 6 sisters). they've all been together since birth, which has been 3 weeks to a month. One of the mice is a premie and is incredibly small, but she is as old as the rest.
Today, I saw one of the adults chasing the premie today.
I'm aware that sometimes mice chase for hierarchy, but I'm worried about aggression regarding how tiny the premie is (She's half the size of the kids, so a quarter size of the adults). The adult was chasing and trying to grab/hold down the premie. There was a lot of loud squeaking. Attached is a photo of her size.
Is this okay, or is it potentially dangerous for the premie? I have a 50 gallon I can separate her into, with plenty of clutter.
thank you
