While I’m familiar with fish and other reptiles I’ve never owned a turtle before and want to do it right. My stepdad is adamant on getting a turtle he saw at a store and neither of us know anything about turtles. Is this setup worth it? Should I get the bigger one and is everything safe? I know from experience a lot of “kits” come with supplies that shouldn’t be used and I’d like to know what I can and cannot use and if it’s worth buying the kit? (As of right now the turtle is basically a bit bigger than both of my thumbs together so it’s very tiny)
