Hey all I’ve seen some posts about handling rust and removing it, applying a product to neutralize it prior to painting it. Is this rust bubbles that are the sticking up pieces and can be scraped off with a flathead? I know the pitting ‘craters’ needs to be sanded and wire brushed clean, treated with rust neutralizer, prior to painting. But do these rust bubbles, if that’s what they are, need to be scraped off, sanded down first?

In doing some research, this is pretty typical it seems… 😤 I try to take really good care of my stuff, but it seems there’s no getting around this happening to the lenses. 🤦‍♂️
