Clean and a fresh set of strings for my dad’s old SG30. This was given to my dad by Yamaha back in the 70s despite the fact he was playing keys at the time.

Got a load of boards for cheep so I’m doing some quick and dirty builds to experience some new circuits and get through my stockpile of components I either ordered by mistake or have moved on from using in my normal builds.

Sounds as you’d expect. A little noisy but they do pre warn you of that. Don’t really have a use for it but a fun build nonetheless.

This one is the MFZ-1 Fuzz. I really like it with my strat and I can see myself using it for shoegaze.

I made this gain into eq into gain thing mostly as a test to make a pcb template that matches up to an enclosure drill template to take some of the guesswork out of future designs.
I put it all together and it worked lovely for about three minutes but then started making a loud hum and ticking sound. Even with the power unplugged and the pedal in true bypass it still does it. Sounds exactly the same as if I just have a cable going into my amp and put my thumb on the other end.
The fact it worked fine for a little while I find confusing.
Any ideas where to start?

Edit: Thank you all for your suggestions. I haven’t got far with it as I can’t get the board back out without de-soldering all of the pots and I suck at de-soldering so it’s slow progress.

I don’t vibe with this one to be honest, I think maybe the vintage sound just isn’t for me.

Really pleased with how this sounds, I usually just build over the top high gain stuff but this is a nice crunchy light overdrive. Particularly like it on bass.
First time using a stencil for lettering, I like how it came out even if the positioning could have been batter.
