I'm a new homeowner, and I plan on getting starlink for internet. I noticed that you can either buy your equipment or rent it, so I opted to rent to save $600. Why buy it when you can rent it forever? However, I've been looking around seeing that some people are saying that if you plan to own it for 2+ years, buying it will be less expensive. But I've seen no evidence to back this up. Can someone explain this to me? I can't find any reason why renting in this case would be more after a few years. Is the service quality worse or something? What am I missing?
