The rain is delightful, although we know it's not enough

YAASSSSS THE RAIN GIVES US RELIEF!!!

I love the rain. I know this won't be enough to bring us out of drought conditions, but I'm glad it's here. This would have been an AMAZING spring season if we weren't in drought conditions, with multiple weeks in the 70's instead of going straight into high 80's and low 90's. The earth is heating up, so I'll take all the lower temps, if we can get them. This rain, accompanied by some rolling thunder out here in Candler, has been great. Thinking about dancing in out in it in my skivvies. Love falling asleep too the sound of rain hitting the roof on the front porch. Stay safe out there folks

There's a huge wreck right before the exit heading west. Tons of cops. Looks like 40 might be closed while they deal with it. Be safe out there!!

Edit - There was a really big "box truck" involved in the accident and the whole front of it was smashed in. Looked like a very serious accident. It did not look like 40 West bound was open to traffic. Hope everyone is OK. It will probably take a while to clean up. Stay safe out there people!!

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that we're having more of a "real spring" this year!! In some previous years we had a week, maybe 2, that had high temps in the mid to upper 70's and then straight into high 80's and low 90's temps. These multiple weeks in a row of only mid-high 70's has been awesome!! Looks like this week and next week will continue that trend as well!! I know the sweltering humidity and high temperatures will be here soon enough, but I'm REALLY enjoying the spring we're having this year!! Sorry to anyone who has allergies, like my wife, but I love this time of year and I'm happy about our sustained temperatures.... for now, LOL. Happy Spring, y'all
