Member permanently banned from Facebook N° 9403928496734968203939213
I've just joined the ranks of those permanently banned after more than six years of activity.
On Monday, May 25th, I received two notifications from Meta: one from Facebook informing me that my account was banned for SOC (which is obviously false), and another from Instagram stating that my account was deactivated as a precaution due to unusual activity.
I was able to recover my Instagram account, but my Facebook account is permanently banned because appealing was useless (it would be surprising if it were).
I haven't yet tried any recovery procedures (apart from appealing, which of course failed, and using the Facebook/hacked link, but the feature is blocked after the first use because "I abused the feature by using it too quickly"), and I can't download my personal information because it leads to a blank page (https ://www .facebook .com/chekpoint/dyi/?referrer=disabled_chekpoint).
I know there's the Meta Verified option, but there's no way I'm spending money because of their broken AI. It's THEIR fault, and I AM supposed to pay?
How can this scam be legal?
All the Meta apps (especially Facebook) have become dangerous to use (Meta has become the metastasis of the internet), you can get permanently banned for the slightest thing.
I was a passive user, I posted very little content and rarely commented, I followed about ten pages and groups, I have about uploaded two or three personal photos (just landscapes, thankfully), and yet Meta's AI decided otherwise.
There are thousands, maybe more, of us suffering from this injustice, and yet Zuckerberg still has no intention of lifting a finger.
So I decided to delete everything and never use Meta networks (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) again, and frankly, I urge you to do the same.
Facebook is no longer the social network we knew more than 15 years ago:
There are more drawbacks than advantages. It's become a toxic place ruled by ads, AI, bots, and scams.
So please, protect your personal data and stop thinking of Facebook as a cloud for saving family photos or memories, because you could lose everything overnight. Even if you think you're following the app's rules, you'll still be banned sooner or later; it's only a matter of time (the Sword of Damocles).
Here's some advice if you still want to stay on Facebook:
- Download your personal data from the app's settings.
- Always keep a copy of your photos somewhere other than on Meta's social medias.
- If you talk to people on Facebook but never meet them in real life, let them know you're using another messaging app (not one of the Meta's social medias apps, obviously), because the day you're banned, you'll never be able to chat with them again.
- And the best advice I can give you is to delete the Meta apps permanently.
I know it sounds impossible, but these apps aren't essential (remember the internet in the late 90s and early 2000s? It was so much better), and it's better to leave on your own than to have an AI ban you unceremoniously with shameful reasons like SOC.
Anyway, all this to say that my ban was a blessing in disguise. There are other social networks, the internet is vast, and I can now say that I feel free to no longer be dependent on Meta(stasis). A new chapter begins, and I hope it will be the same for you
