Building a new PC - I would appreciate if someone double checked my part list

Good day,

After 8 and a half years I am building a new desktop PC. Prices are, uh, not great right now to say the least but I've been putting this off for a while waiting for prices to be more reasonable and it doesn't look like that's going to happen so I'm likely going to pull the trigger on that purchase sometime this week.

Here is my parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WZCjZQ

I would appreciate a "double check" of this list to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious, or that I'm not overpaying for certain components (or that I'm not accidentally buying junk).

As much as I'd like to do dual 1440p monitors, monitors are being reused from my current setup, that budget is being spent elsewhere. Might be in the budget in a few months. Peripherals being reused as well (or I'll just get like a $20 combo from walmart).

This is my first time doing this so I may be making some mistakes.

Parts and logic:

  • CPU: 9800X3D for peak gaming performance especially on CPU heavy games. I'm told that the higher end models don't do much for gaming.
  • GPU: 5070. I don't play any very graphically intense games (though there's a few upcoming that I have my eyes on) and wanted something with a decent chunk of VRAM that would be somewhat future proof. Bleeding edge was not important for me as I currently run a 1650 and anything half modern will blow that out of the water. Significantly less cost than 5070ti.
  • Storage: 4TB M.2 SSD. Haven't scrutinized the brand/model as much as the other parts. Ideally I'd want more storage but prices right now are crazy. Will probably eventually get a hard drive for bulk video storage.
  • 48 gigabytes of decently fast RAM. 64 was too out of reach financially, 32 felt not future proof enough. Again didn't scrutinize too much. Hoping to find a version without RGB.
  • Cooler - Thermalight Assassin, got it recommended from old reddit posts
  • Motherboard - Scrolled through pcpartpicker to find one with decent reviews and enough USB ports that was decently affordable. Might be room for improvement on this front. Must have bluetooth, wifi, and lots of USB ports.
  • Power supply - found that tier list, and ran through the A+ options until I found one with an acceptable price.
  • Case - Nothing special, just first one I came across with decent reviews airflow-wise that seems to come with decent fans and is under $100.
  • Windows 11 - Because I can't run everything on Linux yet.

Thank you for the help - It is very much appreciated!
