I read that a lot of folks don't wear earplugs when riding, which is absolutely crazy to me. I've only been riding for ~2 years now and I've developed tinnitus despite wearing earplugs (mainly loops now) on 90% of my rides. When it's really windy the wind buffeting is still bad even with them. The only way effectively reduce it is using the disposable earplugs and wedging them really far in... which I think may have damaged my hearing after doing it a few times. It also doesn't seem safe to be nearly deaf while riding.

Not sure if it's my helmet, it's an EXO R1, which was supposedly one of the quietier helmets.

Do you all just deal with it and not care or what?

Anyone else accidentally done this? 1st time in 2 years of riding, feel bad even though they didn't care, I was just zoned out following my mate in front. Tempted to get smaller mirrors now.
