Nedbank vs Capitec Credit Card: 21% vs 13% Interest Rate

I recently compared my credit card costs between Nedbank and Capitec.

Nedbank was charging me 21% interest plus heavy monthly admin fees, which ate up more than half of my monthly payment.

Capitec offered me 13% interest and a lower monthly fee.

Switching saves me over R700 a year and means my money actually pays down the balance instead of going to the bank.

What interest rates are other banks giving you on credit cards?

Is PSDT Already on Rugby's Mount Rushmore?

Has Pieter-Steph du Toit already earned a place on rugby's Mount Rushmore alongside Carter, McCaw and Wilkinson?

If South Africa win the 2027 Rugby World Cup and PSDT plays a major role, or if he wins another World Rugby Player of the Year award, would that put him in that elite category?

PSDT is already one of the greatest players of all time. Two World Cups, two World Rugby Player of the Year awards, nearly 100 Test caps, and over a decade at the highest level.

For those who don't have him on rugby's Mount Rushmore yet, what does he still need to achieve? Or has he already done enough?

Most iconic photos and moments in rugby history

The photo of Ma'a Nonu standing up to the All Blacks Haka is easily one of the best shots ever taken in rugby recently. Pure goosebumps and massive respect.

It got me thinking about the all-time greatest photos and moments in rugby.

Madiba handing the Webb Ellis Cup to Francois Pienaar in 1995 wearing the number 6 jersey. That went way beyond rugby and united our whole country.

Jonah Lomu steamrolling straight over Mike Catt in 1995. That was raw power and changed the game forever.

Jonny Wilkinson slotting the extra-time drop goal on his right foot to win the 2003 World Cup.

What are your all-time favourite rugby photos and moments? Drop them below.

Where to find a cheap Casio replacement watch strap in the Northern Suburbs?

Looking for recommendations for a local watch repair shop or kiosk in the Northern Suburbs (around Brackenfell, Bellville, Durbanville, Tyger Valley, or N1 City) that sells cheap replacement straps for a Casio watch. I just need a basic, affordable strap fitted without paying main-dealer prices.

Thanks!

Boks vs Pumas: Who hit, who missed.

Cameron Hanekom absolute world class. Carried like a beast, stole the ball on the deck, smashed over for that try. Reminds me of Pierre Spies.

Edwill van der Merwe worked his backside off the whole game. Chased everything down, defended proper, took his try like a real wing should.

Esterhuizen was hit and miss. Hits like a double cab bakkie on defence but his hands let him down a few times.

Sacha had flashes of brilliance, that offload was class, but he was rusty. Kicked out on the full, some flat passes that nearly gave me a heart attack. His ups and unders went backwards.

Fassi was a bit pap in the air too. Set up the try nicely but his tactical kicking was all over the show.

The bench front row saved us though. Jan-Hendrik Wessels and Steenekamp came on and just crushed the Pumas scrum. Massive power when we needed it most.

Stormers Vs ABs

The turning point for me was losing both scrumhalves. It killed the tempo right when the game hung in the balance. Even without a full Springbok side, the front row stood firm, Dayimani brought serious X-factor, and Deon Fourie was absolute poison at the breakdown. Up front, Andre-Hugo Venter and Matongo put in massive shifts, Senatla was lethal out wide, and young Yaqeen Ahmed showed real composure at flyhalf against Beauden Barrett.

As for the All Blacks, they have big problems heading into the Test series:

Their discipline was shocking, giving away 16 penalties and three yellow cards.

Their set piece got shoved around by a franchise pack, which is a massive red flag against the Boks.

They looked sloppy and disjointed for most of the match, only pulling away late when our guys ran out of steam.

If they play like that against the Springboks, they are going to get punished.

Seeking advice on neck pain and pillow options

For the past few weeks, I have been struggling with neck pain after waking up. As a side and back sleeper, I bought a new pillow, but it has not helped. I tried the rolled-up towel trick with my older pillow and it seems to work to an extent, provided I roll it correctly. Would it be wiser to buy a contour pillow, or should I stick with the towel method?

Looking for pillow recommendations (side & back sleeper with neck pain)

Hi everyone,

I need some recommendations for a new pillow. I have been using a Sealy memory foam pillow for almost 5 years, but lately I am waking up with neck pain every night.

I split my sleep between my side and my back. Looking for something that gives proper support and keeps my neck in good alignment without causing stiffness.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

With our current depth, what is actually our best Springbok loose trio right now against the All Blacks?

Between leaders like Siya, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Jasper Wiese, and Kwagga, plus guys like Elrigh Louw, Marco van Staden, Ben-Jason Dixon, Paul de Villiers, and Cameron Hanekom putting their hands up, the competition in the back row is insane.

If we are playing a must-win Test tomorrow, who are your starting 6, 7, and 8, and who makes your bench?
