Info on 2026

Ok - 2022 trailsport owner. Test drive a 2026 today

Needed wiper blades and stopped by Honda Dealer for inserts decided to test drive a 2026 RTL.

So, after a long test drive:
Looks great!

Drivers a bit better (more car like) and was more “solid” over bumps.

steering seems too light.

Seemed slower then my 2022

Buttons, like for power windows, feel “cheeper”.

New interior was nice - but not mind blowing.

Conclusion: other then the improved body style (though that fake hood scoop is stupid), the 26 seems more “incremental gains” vs the 2022 for someone that just uses the passport for normal commuting use (maybe go on a smooth wooded trail once in a while)

Will keep the 2022 - I will test drive a refreshed passport in 2-3 years to see if my impression improves

BTW: “"The bloom is off the rose" with the passport.

Dealer is in southern NH - right on the mass border.

Had at least 6 in the lot - not sure how many in the aux lots.

Without me saying anything - was told I could get $4,500 off…..so I assume I could get more if I haggled.

Those that paid MSRP (or above with dealer add-on’s) to get a 4th gen in the last year or so will be experiencing more than normal deprecation.

Hope it’s not totalled due to an accident on you….if you did not buy gap insurance and/or have payments for 6 years (which means the first few years payments are almost all interest) - If it’s totalled you are looking at a “negative equity” situation that will be impactful.

So happy I purchased a CPO 2022 (edited/fix - incorrectly typed 2021) trailsport with 18k miles vs a new 2026 last spring.
