Hey y'all. I'm looking at buying my first Tacoma but unsure if a 5ft bed would be good enough to haul my motorcycle around without damaging the tailgate. I know a 6ft bed would be fine, but it barely fits in my garage... My bike is 83" overall length which is the exact length of a 5ft bed with the gate down. It weighs about 430lbs with a full tank of gas. I really don't want to trailer it and don't trust a hitch hauler....

EDIT: I'm looking at ordering a 26' TRD OffRoad.... XtraCab w/ 6ft bed is kind of out of the question since its rear leaf spring only and doesn't have some of the same creature comforts as the TRD. Plus I want it in Mudbath which isn't offered on an SR5.
