Hear me out: Fishing up makeshift decor should unlock craftable recipes for it
I'm tired of fishing for hours (least fave skill & I know I'm not the only one!!) just to find a waterlogged chest, only to get my 50th makeshift planter I never asked for! And tired of waiting on that one piece of makeshift decor I'm looking for again to decorate with during my annual 1-hour decorating itch 😔😫
My suggestion? Anytime we fish up a makeshift decor piece for the first time, we unlock its crafting recipe. We can still fish up the same pieces we've already unlocked (but not the recipe again), but new recipes must be unlocked from fishing up more waterlogged chests. but we can craft as many as we want after we've caught it for the first time!

Edit: you'd only unlock the recipe the first time you open up the chest and get the new piece; not everytime you open the piece of an already fished up piece
