I'm genuinely so just on my last nerve with the stability of this game. It is so hard to bug hunt, and almost near impossible for epic bugs when the very game itself is fighting against you.
My aunt and I have been hunting for a ⭐Rainbow Tipped Butterfly for A WEEK. And we finally found one and we hit it multiple times and then it glitched into a rock, stopped registering smoke bomb hits entirely, and then promptly disappeared right in front of our eyes. This is not the first time something like this has happened. I've played this game for YEARS and truthfully it used to be much easier to bug hunt when I first started this game. And it has just devolved more and more over the years. They keep prioritizing updates to the PC and not any for the Switch at all. It even runs like hot garbage on the Nintendo Switch OLED, which is the one right before the Switch 2. And I'm so tired of hearing the same excuses that it's because the Switch is outdated or it can't handle the graphics or all these other garbage reasons. When the Switch lite runs games like Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom both FLAWLESSLY with zero crashes or glitches and those games are WAY more graphically heavy and mechanic heavy than Palia could ever even dream to be. There is legitimately zero excuse for the way this game runs on the Switch. There's way too much focus on the premium store and outfits and accessories and not enough focus on gameplay and bug fixes. But boy I tell you every time there's a glitch that lets players make more money they fix that the very day it's discovered.
Also, please don't reply to this if you're just gonna say "Go buy a PC". As if everyone has $500+ dollars to pull out on a random Tuesday and go buy a PC for shits and giggles just to play a video game. If I saved money for a PC it wouldn't be to play Palia, it would be for much more important things.
If the game "doesn't run well on the Switch" and seemingly never will, it should've never been released on the Switch in the first place.
There's such a large community of Switch players that want to enjoy this game and spend time playing alone or with friends and just have a good time, but it's hard to when you can't enjoy the basic mechanics of the game that are necessary to even do things in the game like Bundles and quests.
Delete this if y'all want, but it's not just me who has this opinion. And this is as polite as I could word it.
I was going about my daily chores in Palia today and got to the part where I sell off "extra" items to make money. By this, I mean pare down the gold bars from 200 to 100, get the honey back down the the 50ish range, and bugs under stacks of 10, and so on..
But then I thought shined upon my limited scope and I thought, "What do I need gold for?".
I'll hit the 1million limit and then what? I could buy stuff of course but I don't need or want it. If I don't buy stuff then I just don't make gold, I assume. That seems a waste. What I want is to be able to hoard my gold until it's at least a billion. And with that increase more variety of items to purchase.
-sigh-
Do other long time players just keep buying duplicates of things forever and filling plot after plot?
Thank you to everyone who has adopted a rock hopper!🐸
I started playing recently and I'm very happy to see how kind the players are to each other. I made this post especially to thank someone who left a tea recipe at camp; I took it and left another one so the next person could take one too. I think this is a great chain of kindness! 💞
What was the hardest fish for you to catch? The MAW was a big one, but the giant goldfish and the willow lamprey were hiding DEEP within the RNG for me 🤣🤣🤣
did anyone even realize this was part of the event? we haven’t gotten any official updates for a total and it ends tomorrow </3
Why is vinegar so expensive, why 200 gold coins? That is it, that is all.
I was thinking… Sometimes you need a fishing tent, and sometimes you need some privacy. So I got to work. 🤓
Why doesn't a soccer ball take leather!?, why isn't a trophy made with gold? ... I'm pretty hungry, I'm gonna go make a fruit salad with only spaghetti noodles :P
why does hodari and subira’s look so different 😮💨
why do essence trees have to go away after they've been cut by someone else, unlike ores that stay for you even if another player mines them??
it's sooooooo annoying when I'm trying to collect essence and I see a tree but someone beats me to it and now it's gone 😭 its literally so annoying like I have to race people around to get to it first.
I really wish you could have private servers in this game so I can play in peace sometimes
Tish always gave me the vibe of sweet girl, but will turn you into furniture if she snapped. She gets this…look in her eyes sometimes.
Hello! I was wondering if folk might be willing to share pics of their Riffrocs? I’m interested in seeing what different coat combos look like :)
Thanks!
These showed up on my screen. Looks like 2 bowls of ice-cream. I thought maybe it had something to do with ranching but no 🤷🏻♀️
This guy holds 12 piles of fertilizer...perfect for vacations!
Had this riffroc born with meh traits, nothing bad but nothing great, but hey he was shiny which was cool! But then I fed him a cookie of the day and got the best possible combination, I love it :D (yes I renamed him afterwards, meet Munin everyone!)
Hi fellow Palians! I've been playing a few days now and just went to the Royal Highlands for the first time, finally have a mount!! Anyways as I was riding around on a quest, I saw something pop up saying something about a crab event. I was really curious but not able to get over there in time so I asked in the chat, but no one got back to me. I figured this was the next best place to ask!
I can't even explain this to Reth if I wanted to... He was more liquid then soup. 😭😂
After playing 350 hrs I can confidently say this. I genuinely HATE the Elderwoods. I've finished it. Finally. It's the prettiest map imo but still the worst. Chopping trees sucks, hunting sucks, fishing sucks, farming palium double sucks, essence collecting triple sucks. Since getting a decent amount of essence takes ages it's a nightmare to collect the pretty furniture. And don't even get me started on collecting things like koopa nuts n stuff. The quests are fine but like Tamala is another level of annoying...
