What's a PhD like?

hi im an international student in the UK currently pursuing an MSc in Formulation Science (its basically pharma+cosmetic science etc) . my parents really want me to pursue a PhD, possibly right after my MSc. They want me to do it because they think I'll get a better job and pay as a phd and more experience and if i get a scholarship that would be nice too and i get to stay in the UK more since there are more opportunities to learn and progress in career. I have no idea what it's like to do a phd, but i know it's very different from a masters or a job so i wanna know from you guys what's it like? should i pursue one if i want to progress my career in cosmetic science or pharma? is it worth doing? especially in the UK? is it better to get some work experience for few years before or is it better to do it right after an MSc?

It hurts every time Gintoki speaks on the theme of parents

They don't point it out often but it hurts when you see him speaking so wisely about the relationship of a parent and child despite being an orphan, my shaylaaaa😭

Should I quit my part-time?

I am an international student who recently secured a part-time job at a bakery. I had 2 different part-times before this but they were fixed term contracts. I'm really struggling with this bakery one tho it's really difficult to do. And it's really hard to secure a part time job in the area that I am in.I have worked only a couple of shifts and they keep telling me to work faster and faster along with perfection. They keep talking down on me. I understand that food places are quite busy and the team shouldn't be held back by one person but I physically cannot match up to their expectations with my whole arm and fingers cramping up. I am an introvert and I already struggle a lot in public, this is just eating me up inside every day and I dread going to the shift. During the shift I'm constantly panicking internally, focusing to get it done as much as possible so I don't get involved in their conversations or sometimes miss out on instructions when my name is not addressed. I have been scolded on that as well. Maybe I just wanted to vent out here because I'm not sure if I'll be able to get another part time any time soon or have the guts to tell the manager that I want to quit after giving my word that I'll work long term.

Not that it matters much but didn't Zeki's office underground have a different set of furniture?
