Kristensen to Atalanta

If any of you have paid attention to my posts over the years, you'll know that I am really NOT a fan of Kristensen one bit. So the fact that we got this much $$ from Atalanta, to me, is absolute theft on our part.

He's consistently been timid on the ball, looses positioning battles way too easily, gives the ball away cheaply and just looks lost out there way too often.

I will say that his performance picked up at the end of last season but a major reason for that is the stability and skill both Kabasele and Solet offered in the back 3.

Happy this sale happened, as it makes more room for Bertola, Abankwah, Palma and Mlacic. And let's hope it's a sign that management will be keeping Solet for another season! 🤞🏼Also rumours about Juan Jesus being offered a contract despite the CB room already being crowded. We'll see where that goes.

Overall? Excellent move to capitalize and make a huge profit on a player that simply is not that good. Sorry for the harsh take for any Kristensen fans out there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Arrivederci Arthur Atta

It would've been too good to be true to keep zaniolo, atta and the two new midfield acquisitions. Fiorentina is a surprising one but hey, wish him all the best. It was fun watching him for the last two seasons. A very beautiful footballer to watch.

Genoa and Fiorentina interested in Ekkelenkamp

News reports coming out today, by mercato expert Gianluca Di Marzio, that Genoa and Fiorentina have interest in Jurgen. No official contact between clubs has been made.

Hopefully this is just transfer "chatter" and doesn't develop into real news because Ekk is the type of player you want to keep around for the project. He's proven his versatility and durability over the last two seasons. Let's hope he stays!

Bravo Udinese Calcio

Putting some thoughts out for our Reddit community.

First off, I will admit that I was extremely skeptical of the team's ability to compete this season after losing pillars like Lucca, Bijol, and Thauvin.

But the team managed to build an extremely talented and deep squad by maximizing the talent they already had (while turning them into leaders) like: Atta, Ekk, Davis, Solet, Kaba, Okoye, Karlstrom while also acquiring a wide range of players who have each contributed in their own ways! (Zaniolo, Zanoli, Piotrowski, Miller, Buksa, Gueye, Bertola, Mlacic)

A big BRAVO is in order for Kosta Runjaic who is a confident manager, clearly capable of bringing the best out of a young squad.

This is the first time Udinese have hit 50 points since the 2012/13 season. We have been waiting SOME time!

Let us enjoy the last 2 games of the season and look forward to the new additions to the squad in the summer! And let's hope to continue building a great project by retaining key players! 🤞🏼
