Hit a deer doing 70-80mph

My girlfriend and I did a 27 mile hike where we started at 9 AM and finished at 11 PM. Two hours into our 3 hour drive home a deer jumped over the median and hit my car. I was going about 70-80 miles an hour. The airbags deployed and the front of my car was smashed in and airbags went off. Airbag Dust was harsh on the lungs and so was the smoke that came from the engine.

I just got a call from my insurance and they said they are going to total the car. This is heartbreaking since i worked so hard for this car and was my 1st new car. Only 17k miles on it in two years. Car will be missed, but happy it kept us safe.

Hopefully I’ll get another one day.

Fully insured and waiting to see what progressive will give me.

Took my SIE today and so happy to have passed. Heading to Disney tomorrow, so this was a nice weight off my shoulders before needing to start studying for 6 and 63. My employer use passperfect and thought it did a great job on going over everything. I did the full text in 9 days and then pretty much just took a shit load of practice tests. I really only did the ones where it gives you the answer immediately after the question and not needing to wait the whole 80 questions. I did take 5 practice exams and go 50s, 70s, then in the 80s. Got 70 on the FINRA practice tests. I felt like the actual test was easier than the practice exam. Total studying time was a little over 3 weeks, but I was grinding it out every day after work.

The best way I learned was just doing the practice questions and then review feedback on why it was right or wrong.

YouTube and ChatGPT for clarifying anything the test could explain enough.

Good luck to anyone taking it!
