I’ve had my 2026 premium for an about a week now and I can’t wrap my head around why people hate this generation of Wrx so much. I was in the market for a relatively affordable manual daily driver and never thought I would be a Subaru guy. The Wrx was at the bottom of my list initially due to all of the negativity I saw online about this generation of Wrx. After test driving and looking at other cars in this price range the Wrx absolutely blew the competition out of the water. Now having lived with it for a bit it’s not the most perfect car but for the price it is a damn good car. Now I know to never listen to people’s options about cars on the internet because they have no idea what they are talking about ✌️.

So from some angles my car looks boxy and flat in the side profile where as some lowered wrxs look aggressive and planted? Is it my rear camber mixed with the +40 offset?? Are you guys also seeing what I mean or am I delusional? Ig my question to those of you who understand stance and fitment is what can I do to have the car look more aggressive and planted? I rlly like my wheels (18x9.5+40) would getting 3-5 mm spacers help? I know you don’t rlly wanna go higher than 5mm for thread engagement

My first Subaru was a crosstrek. I had it for like two years and then traded it in for an Impreza. I had been wanting a WRX for a loooong time but could never afford it back then and I also didn’t know how to drive a manual. So I was stoked when the WRX’s started offering SPT.

After years of driving my Impreza, the WRX is a HUUUUGE improvement performance wise. I no longer second guess “can I move over to this lane in time and not have the person behind me slowing down?” I don’t even have to floor it anymore to get up to speed 😂

I took it on a trip to the coast recently down some windy roads and the cornering is INSANELY BETTER TOO 😮‍💨

Does a part of me slightly regret not just relearning how to drive manual? A teeny tiny bit. 😅 I learned it when I was 16 but haven’t driven one since. Overall though, I am super stoked to finally have my hands on a WRX 🤘🏼

Title says it all.

Installed the Perrin street series pitch stop this morning. It eliminated the rod knock sounding noise that the original Perrin pitch stop caused. Both perform the same job of stopping the bucking when accelerating from a stop.

New 26 Base manual 6 speed. Can’t wait to customize this a bit. Such a joy to drive!

Managed about 500km of more Northern fall colours this weekend, hoping the timing should be right to do the same roadtrip but further South next weekend.

Posted enough fall colours already, this photo ended up being my favourite from touring around aimlessly though. Just dirty, caked in a layer of bugs, and off pavement, as it should be.

Took my beloved ‘23 Sport-Tech out to the countryside to put her through the paces and to check out the fall colours.
