I have wanted one of these cars for 25 years.

Can't get it inspected and tagged until Friday. It's in my driveway taunting me while I take the last few spins in the hoopty.

What's the consensus here on the 2026 GT trim?

First let me say , Im a bad manual driver but love subaru and the wrx. Im a BIG rally fan but unfortunately, I suck driving manual especially in stop and go traffic. I ruined my 1st manual via the traffic

Anyway, is there any GT owners here that can share their advice and any tips if any.

Is it a good buy? Hows the tuned auto trans ?

After much internal debate, I've settled on comfort over performance.

Wanted to grab some 18x9's with 255/40's but it's going to make more sense to run the still usable stock tires for track days and have a set of something that can be driven in the rain we get around here.

Stock Dunlops are at maybe 4.5/32nds and with our rutted roads (which means standing rain water) they truly are not usable anymore in the wet. Plus these should be about right for how much gravel and dirt we drive on our roadtrips.

So I now have 225/55r17's on Sparco Terras for winter, stock setup for summer roadtrips to places with nicer roads and track days, and a good all season for Spring and Fall and trips where I keep the R in wRx.

Will post pics in a few weeks.

Anybody know what's missing from these spots in the trunk?

Bought my '23 limited trim used, are these spots in the trunk foam empty for your own tools, or are there tools that were supposed to be there? If they're missing, is it even worth trying to hunt down new ones, or just cram whatever of my own tools might fit in those spots lol

Low Profile Rear Seat Headrests (Subaru JDM Part Number 64261VC220VK)

While wildly expensive (I paid $181.32 USD each) the Subaru JDM rear seat low profile headrests make a substantial difference to field of view through the rearview mirror.

I got the leather clad ones with red stitching to match my 2023 Sport-Tech interior. I’m happy with them, and makes my car just a little bit unique.

Sound System

Is it just the base vb that the sound system is cheeks? I'm thinking about putting two 8's but kinda worried about the trunk rattle. Anyone what put in a sound system in their vb could you tell me what works. Thanks!

Goodbye my VB friends 💔

After 2 years of considering it, I’ve finally decided to get my dream car. Super excited but bitter sweet to be leaving my WRX.
Had a VA, then a 22 Audi s3, then my VB. Now picking up my 26 Nissan Z performance next week (hopefully keeping this for a while lol)
Sad I can’t subie wave anyone again but I’ll always be a subie man at heart
Picture of my VB and new car!

Rev-Matching - Asking for help; new to driving stick

Hey all,

So I'm relatively new to driving stick and I am having difficulty pinning down how to rev-match properly. Every now-and-then (30-45% of the time) I hit it smoothly, and it's very cathartic. Problem is, I am not sure of the precise gear ratio differences? I think that's the term?

What I mean is, it seems going from 2nd to 3rd is a difference of about 1k RPM, going from 3rd to 4th seems to be 600/800 RPM, etc etc.

When I'm trying to rev-match down-shift, as I'm slowing down, I'm finding that I am engaging the clutch pedal, reving up about 1k rpm, then trying to catch where I believe the RPMs should be with disengaging the clutch pedal - is this correct? Or should I be reving and trying to catch it on the revs upswing?

Any tips or input would be greatly appreciated.

26 premium. First Subaru coming from a 2018 Honda SI coupe had to sell because my wife and I are expecting in Nov. I am honestly in love with this thing.. only down side imo are the brakes… they are honestly atrocious. But other than that this car is honestly awesome. Would love any advice !

Axleback muffler with a low rumble

Looking to add a little loudness to my 2026 Wrx Ts . I enjoy the sound of the cold start.
I pulled up to my buddies house the other day and they said “oh, I didn’t even hear you pull up”. Yep well that has to change.
Any suggestions?
(Or am I looking to get a cat back😅 to achieve the sound I’m looking for )

TR and Lowering Springs

Anyone in here with a TR have any experience with lowering springs? I know we have slightly stiffer suspension and I do like it, but the last thing I want is to throw springs on and have it unbearably hard.
Considering coilovers but want to preserve the OEM suspension as much as I can and springs are a cheaper option as well.

Pic for attention

OEM Grille Assembly Part Number 91122VC250 (Crystal Black Silica)

Purchased a Grille Assembly for a 2025 WRX Premium, along with the Grille Cap. Came pre-fitted with Subaru Emblem and red WRX Emblem. $228.80 for Grille Assembly, $19.61 for Grille Cap (USD).

For those looking for a less costly option than JDM versions to replace the grey coloured grille on the 2022 to 2024 models with one in black, this may be your solution.

Wrx 2025 front end damage

Unfortunately, my new WRX was hit on the front driver's side, damaging the fender, headlights, hood, and bumper. The odd part is that the passenger's side door doesn’t open. Do you think this means the frame is now twisted? The person who hit the car drove through a stop sign at low speed, probably around 25 mph. No airbags deployed. Should I have the car towed to the body shop or drive it? After the accident, I drove it back to the house about a block away. Other than some tire screeching on plastic, it seemed to drive fine, but the body shop is farther away, and I don’t want to risk it if anyone thinks the frame might be compromised. Thanks for any insight.
