A nat 20(DND) should cause events to align in the player's favor

I was recently playing DND and discovered that natural 20 dosent represent enormus luck borderline game changer.

I come from from computer game like Heroes of might and magic and Diablo are the closest games I played to rpg. They all are extremely scripter and tied to in game logic rules , hence I was never fullfilng the Role-Play aspect of RPG, becuase the role play for me felt underwhelming, pipelined and stright as a railroad with personal imagination and shaping reality with your actions.

When I was first introduced to DND I exspceted the biggest problem (that I described earlier) to be solved

Now its not a soules computer doing his calculations , it's a real human witch open a huge amount of possibilities and remove the code and computing power forced restrictions.

But one of the main attractions of players imagination and creative thinking that is tied to a very high luck (natural 20 roll) is being dismissed because the old rules said so , because it represents how well the chacter perform an action that's it ?

I am bot saying:

"Roll a nat 20 and the king just randomly passes his kingdom"

The player need to come with a convincing creative solution, for exsample:

"When you spoke to the king the king recognised you as his successor based on an old prophecy , the king decided to to pass his kingdom to you in order to fill it.

What I am saying is:

The nat 20 doesn't force an impossible outcome

It causes fate to reveal a path that nobody knew existed.
