Epic Pass this year, how do you actually make it work? (from Syd)

Thinking to pull the trigger on an Epic Pass this season, first time doing it and trying to figure out the logistics.

Rough plan is a week down in Jindabyne at some point, do two weekends around that, and maybe a couple of weekend trips when the snow's good. Trying to keep it as cheap as possible without it being miserable..

A few things I can't work out, accom seems crazy expensive, i would rather camp then pay those prices, is that what people tend to do? Or any recommendations on cheaper accom?

Is there a groups anywhere for sharing rides? Happy to pick people up on the way through would make the drive a lot more bearable.

Any other tips welcome, food, gear, whatever. Pretty open to advice, I know nothing.

TIA

We’re running an zero 23 swag 1400 swag on a Darche double stretcher

My girlfriend and I both of us slowly get funneled into the middle of the stretcher as the fabric sags under our combined weight.

It’s like sleeping in a hammock, we end up hip to hip in the centre whether we want to be or not.

The stretcher actually admits in its own product description that the no centre bar design can cause sagging toward the middle.

Curious if anyone anyone found a practical fix for this?
