Wyvern Egg Locations

Wyvern Eggs like Kuku Bird Eggs do respawn at their locations and can be stored in inventory as a stackable item. Both eggs can be hatched in any functioning nest.

Accidental Proof that the Kuku/Wyvern Eggs don't Break

The egg did not break but I am almost sure that that baby wyvern will hatch and be extra special. It will probably have weird spacing between eyes. It will probably bark. It may need elbow floatation devices so it doesn't drown if it falls in a puddle. It will definitely always have to wear a helmet and have corks on its sharp silverware like forks and knives.

But we will still love the little fecal matter artist like he was perfect. We will cherish that crayon eating mother f*cker even when he gives us all extremely painful, tight hugs and drools on his sneakers... Crocs... That stupid lil tw*t will probably prefer wearing crocs. Nope. Not hatching it.

My Struggles.... Stupid Row Boats...

I put recordings of my struggles this night. I think the music really sets the mood shifts.

Enjoy. LOL.

And yes, Pearl Abyss has been made aware of the boat issues. I say make a rowboat as a mount that can be pulled out on appropriate waters... like a minecraft boat but not so 8bit looking lol

Efficient Crop Farming!

To not waste time and resources do this method once after seeding and once when you see first growth phase pop up. With new quickslot for seeds, you select the seed and then press the right d-pad direction like you would to eat a meal/food. It loads the seed in your hand ready to interact with the mounds. *After planting switch to your meal/food so you aren't dying in battle pulling off a show-and-tell with your seeds instead of healing.

Fertilizer increases produce yield to full if used twice, once at seeding and once during first growth stage.

Water increases growth rate. Twice is the max that will affect speed. Rain will do the trick as well but I believe you must be present for it to apply. Causing rain with a necklace or other gear will suffice as one watering as well.

  1. plant seeds

  2. fertilize each mound with gunslinger quick taps. The pile gets dark instantly and you know it was fertilized.

  3. spray water with the same gunslinger quick tap speed. You'll see a rising splash. It has been watered. Since the water Sprayer only has 100 durability and only needs to use up 1 of 100 to water each mound. More spray is moot and costs you in materials as the sprayer breaks more often.

  4. wait or return during first growth stage.

  5. once the first stage of growth appears repeat steps 2 and 3 with fertilizer first in case watering at that moment is enough to trigger full maturity causing less yield in produce.

Liberated! and now I have to steal!

I truly believe that I am entitled to freely explore an area I just cleared for the plunder that I earned without some short cutscene leaving me surrounded by a victory claiming deadbeat military that was no where to help aside from being untied to be running about like screaming monkeys. Not a sense of entitlement like "I was born so the world owes me!" but legit, I explored, I conquered, I should be opening chests and scooping up loot without stealing.

I did report this oversight and suggested that perhaps once the player has exited the immediate premises (future "no take" zone) of the stronghold that only then should the cutscene and liberated status be applied. It is cool that some of the fallen or exposed loot is transfered to your stash but what of the treasures, chests, displayed weapons et cetera.

My work around:

I let the last few percent of enemies hammer on me like mosquitoes while I plunder and heal when necessary. If there is a boss or mini boss fight area, I give the area a wide birth and plunder all. If there are treasures in that fight area, I dodge the boss enemy or let him hammer on me while plundering.

Large Fish Can Be Teleported Now

Just letting everyone know. I have yet to check out all the other ways of losing a fish since I sent in the report weeks ago. I'll be verifying later.

20 New Pets List and What to Feed Them

Since update 0.08.00 (PS5) and the devs announces 20 new pets and a baby wyvern, the wyvern became the big focus while many of us are searching for the identity of the 20 pets. I know the baby wyvern is a baby wyvern. Lol. I have 19 out of 20 pets figured out. What is the last? Coyote found Pailune? I am taking a break from the hiding coyote for now. If anyone knows for sure. Please share info and location.

LIST SO FAR:

Racoon - Raspberries

Skunky - Palmer Beetles

Choppy - Carrots

Badger - Fine Meat

Skunk - Raspberries

Weasel - Tender Meat

Snowfield Weasel - Tender Meat

Fox - Tender Meat

Snowfield Fox - Tender Meat

Desert Fox - Tender Meat

Porcupine - Potatoes

Desert Porcupine - Sweet Potatoes

Platypus - Bass

Feathered Weasel - Lean Bird Meat

Wombat - Palmar Leaf

Armadillo - Palmar Beetle

Beaver - Raspberry

Meerkat - Palmar Beetle

Red Panda - Apple

Coyote - ?

All foods listed gave +35 or more trust. If you feed them fruit, give the better fruit for higher +trust numbers. Same with meat, bugs, veggies, and so on. Sweet Potatoes give more trust than regular potatoes. The foods listed will give full trust in 3 or less feedings but they are not the only possible foods that each particular creature will eat.

**I'll update about the 20th animal when confirmed.

For the 30 of 30 pets capacity, know that the Special Creatures are not counted in the 30. They are of their own count highlighted by gold backfill.

The same applies to the 30 mounts where Special Mounts are a separate count highlighted by gold backfill as well.

Exploration is a must!

Exploration!

May I suggest that, like most amazing open world games, Crimson Desert is not limited to what the gaming "professionals" or "critics" suggest with underestimated hours of expected game play. May I further suggest as a player at 680h and barely starting chapter 6 that you enjoy the game, the world, the work of art that the devs have created. There are far too many hidden gems in this game to rush through it like supper at the in-laws.

I have the habit of only first exploring the games normally long after their release even though often I pre-ordered them on disk just to be shiny plastic wrapped reminders of things to do during future downtime. Because the games have been explored by so many, I normally do my own thing and then go over online interactive maps to see if I missed anything like grading my own school work. I am OCD, exploring open worlds like an archeological site in grid patterns inch by inch to find everything and waste so much time trying to get to places I probably cannot get to (ie: the unused abominable snowman cave in RDR2).

This game is an exception for me. I started it almost as soon as Amazon delivered it. Now, I do realize that this game is in its infancy, presummedly with more updates and possible expansions unlocking and adding more content. So I understand that not everyone has explored every nook and cranny. But when I check up on my progress using interactive maps online, I realize that in my limited exploration I have found more than they did or at least what they marked so far. Not everyone is OCD like I am, I know this. I also know many are or even more so. I am sure a ton of others have discovered even more than I. But if you are simply following video guides or online maps, you will miss much hence why I suggest exploration!!! Don't rely on online maps for all. They are not done yet. Thus they are more like the pirate code as they are "more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules" - Barbossa

I see many helpfull online guide videos and then many time wasters like the ones that read out each announcement almost verbatum reading line by line and even displaying screenshots of what Pearl Abyss wrote. 10+ minutes of wasted time as someone desperate for youtube monitization income roleplays as a text-to-speech app for something that takes 2 minutes to read.

Big shoutout to the real players that post quick video guides to help others, the websites that write out guides and all the players helping each other out on places like reddit. We all learn through our own play and discovery and from each other when we are stuck. Even when we think we know about something, someone reveals something we never tried or thought of.
