Knockoff flagship bows

Knockoff flagship bows

Has anyone seen these before? ...i knew "TAOW" or "TBOW" whatever they are called, used to make a knock off Satori....but i just found this below, its a rx-8 knockoff, they call it rxmax...they even use the hbx cams...as far as it looks, its an exact copy of an rx8 minus the stickers. And before anyone jumps on the hoyt chinese manufacturing wagon...i also saw a PSE Mach30 knockoff...so its not just Hoyt..

What all your toughts on this...personally i cant say i support this very much, also unsure of the QC, customer support and material quality involved in those knockoffs. If those are indeed decent bows, I would probably be more supportive if they werent knockoffs.

M101

I took this image with a Sharpstar 76EDPH @345mm FL paired to an unmodified Canon 600D, the mount is an unguided CG5 ASGT.

194x30sec lights,

20 darks,

ISO 3200.

processing was done in SIRIL, calibration, stacking, green noise removal, stretch and bg extraction, stars removed with starnet plugin.

The whole image was recomposed in Pixlr, i work with several layers to do the denoising, color balance and light balance, then blend the layers back into a single layer.

M101

The Pinwheel Galaxy (Messier 101, M101 or NGC 5457) is a face-on, counterclockwise intermediate spiral galaxy located 21 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major.

I took this image with a Sharpstar 76EDPH @345mm FL paired to an unmodified Canon 600D, the mount is an unguided CG5 ASGT.

The first image is a crop from the second larger wide field image.

Bode's and Cigar galaxies

M81 is a grand design spiral galaxy and M82 is an irregular star burst type galaxy, both are located approx 12M Ly away from us.

The image was shot with an unmodified Canon 600D paired to a sharpstar 76edph @345mm FL, i used my unguided CG5 ASGT mount for tracking.

124x30sec lights,

20 darks,

ISO 3200,

Calibration, stacking, green noise removal, stretch, background extraction and star removal done in SIRIL w/ Starnet plugin.

Starless, starmask and stack recombination was done in Pixlr after performing denoising and color balance on each layer. Several layers of the recombined image were then created and each layer received its own color balance, denoise and sharpen routines and then blended back together. This allowed me to pull as much detail and color out of my setup and dataset while minimizing unwanted artifacts as best as possible.

NGC 2959

Recently i took a widefield shot of the m81-82 area, as i scanned within the picture, i noticed this small very faint galaxy in the background, turns out its NGC 2959, a face on spiral galaxy thats approx 218M light years away.

I mananaged to even catch a glimpse of the spiral arms

The image was taken with a Sharpstar 76EDPH paired to a Canon 600D, 90x 30sec subs at ISO 3200, processed in SIRIL and Pixlr. Ill spare all the processing details.

The widefield shot has over a dozen distant galaxies hiding in the background...though the reddit compression will likely mush them to oblivion.

M81-82

Ive finally got a good night and a few hours for this years first galaxy.

90x30sec @ iso3200

Sharpstar 76edph @ 345mm

Canon600d

20 darks

Stacked, background extraction and stretch in siril, starnet star removal, starless, stack and starmask recombined manually in pixlr after applying denoise mask and color balance. The second photo is a less cropped edit that shows more neigbor galaxies.

This shot is a cropped version..i have a larger version that shows the more of the neighbor galaxies but the reddit compression might not work well with it.

Cock feather orientation

Does anyone shoot with the odd vane at 6 oclock on drop away rests? ..im curious because doing that would give a good amount of extra clearance for my slider...right now with the vane at 12 or 9 oclock i hit the housing around 75 yards, if i flipped to 6, id potentially get an extra 10 yards out of it and be able to stretch out to 85 yards.

The tought just dawned on me and i wonder if anyone does it..i havent tried it yet but probly will give it a shot tomorrow.

First proper images of the moon i took in november 2024 with my C8/600D combo. Not a video stack, these ones are approx 50 stills or so stacked and with a bit of sharpness and clarity boost from post processing in pixlr

Not perfect, collimation, acquisition and processing could have been much better but i still love them.

Heres my favorite shots from last year, let me know which you prefer and why, or if you want to know anything about the photos.
